Cocktails & Centerpieces - Fiesta

Thank you for stopping by!! I am a new blogger, I'm only 17, and am so excited to be part of Summer Sipper Series. We are going to provide you with some great cocktails to help you sit back, relax, and take your summer back!

Now make sure to check every week because I will be adding a little something special to every cocktail! I decided upon a fiesta theme for this weeks centerpiece based upon the colors of that delicious Strawberry Tequila Sunrise. I went to my local grocer and was on a search for bright, spring flowers. I mixed a few bouquets and got this cheery mix that really adds a greta pop of color to that vintage teal pitcher. This just goes to show that anyone can make something beautiful out of anything!

If you are going to have a fiesta dinner you have to use tequila!  I am calling this drink a Summer Tequila Sunrise since it is a twist to a regular tequila sunrise.  We are not a huge orange juice fan, so we changed it up a bit.  Here is the recipe we ended up enjoying.

3 ounces Orange Pineapple Juice Chilled

1 - 1/2 ounces of Tequila Chilled (Make sure you get Agave Reposado Tequila)

1/2 ounce of Strawberry Syrup Chilled (Spec's sales all flavors, just branch out and try some)

Pour the juice and tequila into a glass. You can pour it over ice, but since it's all chilled we didn't use ice.  Plus we all like to chew ice, and are trying to stop.  Doing that is bad for your teeth, but it's a hard habit to break.

Next pour the syrup in over the juice.  Some will mix in with the juice, and some will settle out in the bottom of the glass.  Now enjoy!

Now with just $10 worth of stunning flowers, a Strawberry Tequila Sunrise, and a taco bar, you can have a relaxing summer fiesta anytime!
